2026 is ushering in some changes!
As the new year gets underway, Glenn will be taking the helm more and more around the shop and then be a solo sailor starting in August. Don't worry, Rebecca isn't going to be tossed overboard. She's headed back to school, pursuing a Master's of Divinity at The University of the South. Please be patient and show them some support as they go from sharing a 42' monohull to being 475 miles apart.
Where we started. . .
My name is Rebecca and I've been a sailor for years now. After purchasing a new (to us) sailboat in 2020, we began looking for someone to rework our canvas. It was impossible to find someone to replace our sail cover and bimini in a reasonable time frame at a reasonable cost. So, I sewed it myself. I also discovered that I really enjoyed making canvas for our boat, jerry can covers, hatch covers, new cushions, and more.
Talking with other boaters, I realized that everyone had a similar experience. There just aren't enough places to meet the demand for marine canvas work that today's growing number of boaters need.
We opened Off Season Canvas July 1, 2022 and recieved so much support from Brunswick and the boating community. We're continuing to learn and grow, so we can better serve our local boaters and the many cruisers that come through the area. We've also expanded to fabricating awnings and shade sails to better meet the needs in Brunswick.
In 2024, Glenn joined the OSC Team full time and primarily helped get our new building renovations completed. We moved into our new space at 1400 Albany in November of 2024. While we've still got plenty of work to do, we're up and running full tilt. It's nice to have a little more space and building of our own.
In January 2025, Glenn took over as the Project Manager and began spearheading the scheduling, patterning, and installations. Rebecca still managed the desk and did the lion's share of the stitching.
Thanks to my wonderful husband, Glenn.
I truly appreciate all your encouragement and help. I can't imagine sailing through this world without you.

We love our signature yellow canvas!
We know that a full season of cruising is not realistically going to happen in the near future. However, we are trying to remember why we got into the liveaboard life and have limited work hours.
If you have an immediate need or can't wait to have your canvas project tackled, I encourage you to consider the DIY MakerSpace.
Afterall, that's how we got started.
