We are looking for the right person to help us continue to grow OSC. If you are looking for an opportunity to join the team and grow with us then we are looking for you.
We're willing to teach the right person how to do the job, from patterning to sewing.
Starting pay based on experience.
Patterning and Design
Pattern creation is key to a good fit for custom canvas work. Attention to detail and the ability to see the finished product make a good pattern. Comfort working around the water and the ability to climb around on the boats is a must have for the job.
Cutting/Layout
Taking the patterns and translating them to the canvas products takes time. Cutting the materials and getting them prepared to sew, in the right sequence, takes practice.
Fabrication
Sewing. We use a Juki 1541S and a TechSew 2135 for our canvas work. Both are user friendly for even the newest fabricator. While sewing isn't difficult, there are a few tricks to make your work professional and efficient.
Customer Relations
At the end of the day, it's all about customer service and creating a name we're proud of. I love seeing our customers out on the water and being able to wave knowing their boat is covered with quality canvas products.
Ability to climb around on boats
Ability to lift fabric rolls up to 50 pounds
